The activated carbon regeneration furnace, also known as a reactivation furnace or reactivation kiln, it is a specialized equipment used to restore the adsorptive properties of spent or used activated carbon. Highly porous activated carbon may absorb and remove impurities from gases and liquids. Over time, the carbon becomes saturated with the adsorbed impurities, reducing its effectiveness. To rejuvenate the activated carbon and extend its useful life, it undergoes a process called “regeneration” or “reactivation.”
At Kerone Engineering Solutions Ltd, we are driven by a passion for sustainability and a commitment to creating a cleaner world. As environmental protectors, we take pride in developing groundbreaking solutions to tackle pressing challenges. Our Activated Carbon Regeneration Furnace is a true testament to our dedication. This modern technology stands at the forefront of innovation, breathing new life into spent activated carbon and revitalizing its adsorptive properties.
Because of its superior absorption capabilities, activated carbon is used by many industries for filtration (such as removing colour from syrups in the sugar or food processing industries, purifying beverages, treating combustion gas, drinking or industrial water, etc.)
Activated carbon becomes less effective as it is utilised and finally becomes saturated. Therefore, in order for it to be reused, it must be steam-regenerated.
